Mathematics complements a whole range of other subjects. You will gain knowledge of a wide variety of mathematical techniques, and the skills that you develop in problem-solving and analytical thinking are recognised as being highly desirable in numerous career areas. Three units are taken in the first year for AS level and a further three in the second year for A level. Some choice of units to be studied is available. Pure Mathematics (C1-4), Mechanics (M1-2) and Decision Mathematics (D1) are available (on this course code).
