This course offers a practical exploration of all aspects of theatre. You will study play texts; participate in performances; create and perform new work. Most lessons take place in the College Drama Studio - Public performances of your work take place in the well-equipped College Theatre or in the College Drama Studio which have excellent lighting, sound and projection facilities, video and sound recording equipment, Students will attend workshops with visiting professionals and the department has close links with the University of Worcester. Assessment is through coursework, performances and written examinations. There is an expectation that students will attend rehearsal time outside of lessons. As part of the course students will take part in a public performance of an extract of a published play. Please see the College website for details about the College's Performing Arts Academy.
