This is an exciting opportunity to learn about how music is produced professionally in studios and in concert venues around the world. You will learn about MIDI sequencing, sampling, acoustics, sound creation, studio recording and production, composing and technical support and instrument repair. This qualification enables students to pursue a career in the music industry immediately after completion or to progress into Higher Education. The Music Technology course is specifically designed to cater for students who wish to further their studies in Music Technology at an equivalent A-level standard and beyond as well as those who wish to work in the sound industry upon leaving school. This course can follow on from GCSE Music or NCFE Music Technology. If you have not studied music or music technology before then you will need to have a strong interest in Music Technology and be proficient at ICT and prepare to spend time learning how to use the equipment.
