What will I do on this apprenticeship? Apprenticeships are a great chance to combine 'on the job training' and learning in a college environment. You will be employed by a plumber or building contractor and work alongside an experienced tradesperson to further develop and practice your new skills. You will also attend College for one day a week for support and to learn the technical side of your trade. This apprenticeship covers training in a range of plumbing systems and components and their installation including water regulations, unvented hot water supply, ACS domestic gas safety. This apprenticeship is comprised of 5 elements Plumbing Diploma, City & Guilds 6035, Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing, NVQ Level 3 Maths L2 (unless you have a GCSE C grade or equivalent) English L2 (unless you have a GCSE C grade or equivalent) Employer's rights and responsibilities. How will I be assessed? We will assess you with practical skills tests and observing you in the workplace. You will also do online tests, assignments and produce a portfolio of evidence. You will be assigned a personal assessor who will visit you at work to review your progress and to make sure you're on target to get your qualifications. What options do I have after successfully completing? Construction Engineering Foundation Degree Setting up your own business as a plumber and heating engineer. A career as a plumber, employed or self-employed, within the construction and mechanical engineering industry
