What will I do on this apprenticeship? To achieve this apprenticeship you will need to complete a number of qualifications including the Level 2 Diploma in Sport, and Functional Skills qualifications. The topics you will study include coaching, fitness testing and training, practical sport, technical and tactical awareness, lifestyle and sports performance, anatomy and physiology for sport, injury in sport. Maths and English is a fundamental element of this study programme and will be embedded into your vocational learning. If you do not have a grade C in Maths and/or English you will attend a discrete GCSE or Functional Skills class as part of your weekly timetable. How will I be assessed? Assessments are carried out through projects, practical skills tests and observations of you at work. A personal assessor will make regular visits to your workplace to carry out reviews of your progress and to ensure that you are on target to gain your qualification. You will come to College at least one day per week. What options do I have after successfully completing? Progress to Sport or Sport and Exercise Science, BTEC Extended Diploma, Level 3 Public Services, BTEC Extended Diploma, Level 3.
