The course involves assignment work, work experience, employability activities (such as carrying out surveys) and some exams in the following topics. QCF Administration (Business Professional) Suite DIPLOMA @ Level 1 Assignments oWorking in business administration oCreating business documents oMaking and receiving calls oCareer planning in administration oWelcoming visitors oHandling mail oOrganising business travel and accommodation oTeamwork in administration oHandling diary systems oDealing with incoming and outgoing post Exams oText Production oSpeed typing oBusiness Presentations oWord Processing oComputer keyboard skills You will undertake additional qualifications as follows:- -Functional skills in English, maths and ICTThe course is designed to give 16 hours+ tuition per week with 1 weeks work experience. This course is of a very practical nature with time being spent on gaining the essential keyboarding, text processing and administrative skills. You will need to allow time to work on your assignments independently.Once you have successfully completed your course you will be able to progress to the Business Administration Level 2 course at Eastleigh College OR an apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 2. Alternatively, many of our students go straight out to work and are now employed as junior clerk in offices.
