Subjects to be covered include exploring the theory and practice of art in the Renaissance. Specifically you will explore the theory and practice of art in the Renaissance. Knowledge of the lives and techniques of artists and the political and social influences on their art. Subjects to be covered are: Early Renaissance in Italy and Northern painting and Architecture.You will learn by the analysis of selected works of artists, designs and crafts people, looking critically at how art works in the selected context of time, social and political influences. As a non-accredited course there is no assessment- a college certificate will be awarded on request.Students could progress to other creative art courses.
