Learners will need to be employed for min 16 hours per week with children under 5 & be able to work unsupervised. The qualification includes four themes: Health & wellbeing, Legislation, frameworks & Professional practice, Play & Development and school readiness and Professional development. All Learning will be assessed in the workplace to cover both knowledge and performance criteria.Learners can progress into various job roles such as; Nursery Practitioner, Reception class early years assistant, Pre-School practitioner or Home based child carer.
