The course has 4 different pathways of which 1 should be chosen prior to enrolment on the course: 1.Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems Service and Maintenance. 2.Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems Installation and Commissioning. 3.Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Refrigeration Systems Installation and Commissioning. 4.Level 3 Certificate in Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Refrigeration Systems Service and Maintenance. - Explanation of critical point, Trans critical operation and other key definitions - Basics of CO2 as a refrigerant; Hazards associated with CO2 - How to handle CO2 safely - Installation, service and maintenance procedures for CO2 Systems - Overview of CO2 systems: -Cascade sub critical -Trans Critical -Booster -Pumped. - Examples of end users CO2 systems, piping and components. Training and Course notes will be provided by Eastleigh College, whilst the delivery will be carried out at dci Refrigerations bespoke training facility near Portsmouth.This course has two sections; initially it will be 5 days between the classroom and practical assessment area covering the theory and some practical aspects of working on and with CO2. You will also have to produce a work based portfolio that will include 2 on site assessments plus other work based evidence to be arranged after completion of the initial 5 day course. Industry set and recognised assessments are included: - City & Guilds online multiple choice test - Portfolio of evidence from the workplace that must include 2 on site assessments and various other jobs from the workplaceFurther courses in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning sector.
