Product Design A2

UPDATED 20160315 09:42:42

Product design is one of the most exciting and interesting courses to study at A Level, and we hope that you will come to share our enthusiasm and enjoy it as much as we enjoy teaching it. This course combines resistant materials and graphic products into an exciting product design course. You will work on long term and short term projects that suit your own interests. The work will be challenging and varied and you will develop a wide range of skills - practical, social and intellectual. You must be hard-working, creative and experimental in your outlook and approach. During the course you will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of designing and making options which include: redesigning an innovative hand held gadget, reinventing and producing the simple game of noughts and crosses, using your imagination to produce either a lighting of jewellery piece and research project on a topical product design theme. All of these projects will expand your repertoire of skills and allow you to fulfil the criteria for assessment. We follow the AQA syllabus.
