This course will give you the core technical knowledge and practical skills for you to gain the skills needed for Level 2. It will show you how to install electrical systems and equipment. The theory side of the course will give you a good understanding of electrical science, information technology, health and safety, communications and numeracy.After the first year, you should be able to connect and fix electrical accessories, route and fix wiring systems and enclosures within an installation. On completion of the second year, you should be able to fully install wiring systems, fix wiring enclosures and carry out the basic testing for electrical circuits.
