This course will help you to develop a career in primary teaching. If you wish to train to be a primary school teacher and do not have the qualifications to apply to university, this course will enable you to do that. The course content will cover modules in Education Studies, English Language, Psychology and Sociology, as well as Study Skills to ensure that you are best prepared for studying at university. The course will give you a general introduction to the concepts, methods and key areas of knowledge within the core disciplines taken and offer a stimulating framework within which you can broaden your intellectual outlook and make connections between these subject areas. During the programme, you will be guided through the UCAS process and you will take on a work placement within a primary school, for which you will need a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). The Access to HE Diploma in Teaching Training is offered at the Tottenham campus only.
