The course is for anyone who is 16 years old or over and has an interest in working in the beauty sector. You will complete 2 mandatory units on this course covering an introduction to the hair and beauty sector and presenting a professional image in the salon. You will also be required to complete a range of optional units to complete this qualification. You will be able to choose from units You need to complete 11 credits from the core units: •Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety •Contribute to the development of effective working relationships •Prepare and maintain salon treatment work areas. · You also need to choose 8 credits from the following optional units: •Assist with salon reception duties •Assist with facial skin care treatments •Assist with day make-up •Assist with nail services. These qualifications can prepare you to work in a salon and help you move up to become a senior member of staff.
