Introduction to Creating Floral Arrangements

This course will introduce learners to the opportunities within the floristry industry. Learners will gain practical floristry skills such as the principles and elements of design, selling and promotion of their products as well as gain an understanding of the industry.Students will have the chance to try different styles of arrangement using a mixture of fresh and artificial materials. These will include:· Hand tied· Posy· Modern· Traditional· Planted styleStudents will also study gift wrapping and bow making techniques.Each session the learners will be able to take home their work.The course consists of two 6 hour sessions tutored by Shirley D’Oyley (ICSF) and the cost of materials will be £20.The course is suitable for all levels of learners and appropriate needs can be taken into consideration for all learners.
