This 6 hour Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for environments where, after appropriate assessment it is deemed that a full FAAW course is unnecessary but some First Aid provision is required. Courses can be completed in one day or in individual sessions to suit your needs. Soteria Solutions will help you provide full compliance with The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.The aim of the course is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with emergency first aid situations which can arise in the workplace. Learners will be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations.Topics covered -Legislation and Regulations, the role of the first aider, first aid priorities, scene assessment and management, casualty assessment, dealing with unresponsive casualties, resuscitation, bleeding and shock, burns, choking, epilepsy, fractures, heart attacks, spinal injuries and strokes.Course Benefits -On successful completion of the course candidates will be awarded a certificate which is valid for a three year period and hold the title of First Aider.Prerequisites -None. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the practical elements of the course including conducting CPR on the floor.This course will be taught using a combination of theory, practical activities and group discussions.CPE - 6 hours
