This course intends to introduce to the practical skills and knowledge involved in massage therapy. The course will furnish you with the skills needed to work in the industry as a massage therapist. You will learn about the different types of massage, health and safety and hygiene among other essential knowledge. You will work on clients to become confident with the skills learnt. What the course covers The course covers the practical skills and knowledge and understanding of the following Health and safety Body massage and associated anatomy and physiology Indian Head Massage Stone Therapy Massage Aromatherapy massage Client care The origins of massage Personal health and wellbeing Please note: this course requires home study and revision Other You will be required to wear a therapist's uniform at all times during your course. This will consist of a therapist's tunic and plain black trousers, (no jeans, jogging bottoms or leggings). You will be required to tie your hair back during practical sessions and the only jewellery allowed is a wedding band and small stud earrings. Shoes are to be black, low heeled, closed in and comfortable (no trainers). You will be required to achieve 85% attendance to complete the course.
