English is an exciting and important qualification which will enable you to develop your skills and abilities, providing you with progression routes to higher education, employment or further training. This course will enable you to analyse, interpret, compare and understand a wide range of English texts from a number of historical periods. You will study a range of texts from each genre including drama, prose and poetry. You will also be required to study a Shakespeare text in depth in preparation for the examination.
