The course currently consists of 100% coursework and visits/trips are an integral part of the course. Evidence can be presented in a number of ways; demonstration of skills, reports, booklets, presentations and photographs. All work is assessed at a pass, merit or distinction level. Students will develop and sustain an interest in the Hospitality industry. They will acquire knowledge and understanding of the industry, customer service, European food, food and drink service, human resources and planning events. They will develop skills such as research, planning, evaluation, teamwork, leadership, problem solving, food preparation and cooking.
