A level language courses immerse students in the culture of the foreign language and allow for more personalised contact with the Foreign Language Assistant. Students develop their linguistic skills alongside their understanding of the culture and society of French-speaking countries, studying the influence of the past on present-day French-speaking communies, technological change, French-speaking artistic culture, including francophone music and cinema. Students study a literary text or a film, exploring aspects such as plot, characterisation, imagery or other stylistic features.
