The brand new AQA English Literature and Language combined course that we have embarked on offers a range of engaging texts with a variety of options to ensure that our teaching staff can personalise the learning of their students according to the texts they are likely to enjoy. There is a focus on the origins and analysis of the English language that then informs the students own understanding and interpretations of texts in both prose and poetry. They will be introduced to a range of non-fiction texts centred on a single theme which they will then develop their own responses and reactions to.
