Hospitality & Catering Level 2 What will I Study? This is a one-year course and will include hands on experience. The course is designed as a vocational progression pathway onto a higher level or into the Hospitality and Catering profession. Potential candidates should view this course as an opportunity to obtain a qualification which could lead to future employment, or to open gateways to further education, but will fundamentally develop life skills for the future. Students who are accepted on the course will have to meet rigorous health and safety standards at all times. Learners are assessed through practical observation, oral questioning and written testing. Learners will complete a series of written assignments and sit two examinations. You will be required to meet minimum standards and timings set by the awarding body. Course Content • Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment • Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation • Provide a buffet service • Prepare and serve food Entry Requirements The Course requires students to have a reasonable standard of education, including at least 1 and up to 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or A Level 1 BTEC certificate or Diploma Progression Level 3 at Post 16, Apprenticeship and or Further Education NVQs / City and Guilds / BTEC.
