Focuses on a variety of dance styles and explores the work of outstanding practitioners and choreographers within the industry, current and historically important to the study of dance. Students are required to create, perform and interpret dances with skill and a high level of understanding of a range of dance contexts. Students will study theoretically a compulsory set work, Rooster by Christopher Bruce as well as an additional area of study where a deeper understanding of the works, social, historical and artistic importance.
