History GCE Advanced Subsidiary History History is an outstanding department and one of the fastest growing subjects in the school at KS4 and KS5. We enjoy a great number of excellent resources and provide courses that are highly stimulating and enjoyable for both students and teachers alike. Streatham at War In November 2015 the History Department at Bishop Thomas Grant School, in collaboration with Professor Richard Grayson of Goldsmiths, University of London, embarked on a major archive-based project - part of the school's legacy 110 project. Legacy 110 was created after two Year 9 students attended the Government Centenary Trip to the Battlefields in October 2015. Twelve students were chosen from Year 9 and Year 12 to attend a workshop run by Professor Grayson in which they researched local fallen soldiers using battalion war diaries to help shed some light on how these men died. The accounts are now accessible for the public to view by clicking on the Streatham at War tab on the right hand side of this page. The History Department would like to thank Professor Grayson for giving up his time to work with our students and establish this important link between a local higher education provider and our school.
