The OCR Chemistry course covers the core chemistry required for the A Level student, but puts it in the context of everyday materials and processes. This approach is intended to help stimulate the student's interest and enjoyment of the subject whilst covering the required contents. •No re-sits are possible •Coursework will be assessed throughout the year •Study guides and text books will be provided. What you will do The course consists of six modules to be taken over two years: •F331 - Chemistry for life: units on the elements of life and developing fuels •F332 - Chemistry of natural resources: units on elements from the sea, the atmosphere, the polymer revolution •F333 - Chemistry in practice: five experimental skill areas are assessed throughout the AS year (coursework) •F334 - Chemistry of materials: thread of life, materials revolution, the steel story and what is in a medicine •F335 - Chemistry by design: aspects of agriculture, colour by design, the oceans, medicines by design •F336 - Individuals' Investigation: coursework.
