AS-level English Language & Literature will introduce you to some powerful and challenging writing which will make you think about the complexities of human experience and relationships about love death sex and religion about the way language time and place shape the way writers produce their works. The course will help equip you with the skills to write intelligent well-informed and analytical responses to the texts you will study. Asking questions discussion and debate will be at the heart of how you will learn and develop knowledge. If you want to know how linguistic features such as pre-modifying adjectives dynamic verbs abstract nouns semantic fields and syndetic lists are used by authors to invoke emotional responses and create the books you love then this is the course for you.
