This is a practical work-related course designed to meet the needs of students wishing to pursue a career in one of the Uniformed Public Services (the armed forces/ police/ fire service/ ambulance service/ prison Service/ H.M Revenue and Customs/ Border Agency and coastguard). You will take part in outdoor activities/ carry out research projects and study situations that affect the public sector. The course is for those who are active and who are willing to try new experiences: it provides excellent preparation for employment or higher education as you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of transferable skills such as teamwork and leadership through outdoor adventurous activities.
