Government and Politics

This subject develops a range of transferable skills that are desirable in a variety of professional careers.  Students taking Government and Politics will find that they may progress not only to politically based routes but might also pursue areas such as the civil service, media, public relations, the legal profession and teaching.  Students will build research and analysis skills in order to explore their units of work thoroughly.  Students are also required to focus on both written and verbal skills in order to present critical opinions and draw logical conclusions.  In order to be successful on the Government and Politics course you will need to be keen to keep up to date with the current political climate.
