Sugarcraft - The Art of Sugarcraft - Royal Icing Techniques

The course will give learners the knowledge and confidence to undertake and apply decorative techniques using royal icing. This will give you the opportunity to develop your creative flair and develop your artistic style in using royal icing. You will learn how to make and store royal Icing correctly and the pitfalls that can occur. Learners will know how to use flood icing on cookies or runouts. How to achieve brush embroidery, stenciling, hand piping effects and finishes using a dummy cake. In this course you will cover the following topics: make 3 royal icing consistencies used for different techniques (stiff consistency, medium consistency and flood consistency). brush embroidery. stenciling. hand piping effects and finishes. filigree, pearls and dots. flood icing on cookies or runouts. At the end of the course you will have the knowledge and skills to use different royal icing techniques to add decorative effects to a range of sugarcraft mediums. The course is not suitable for those who have no experience of sugarcraft.
