The main purpose of the Level 2 Certificate is to act as a bridging qualification towards the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator). It will confer occupational competence to work under supervision and enable practitioners to count in the ratio at level 2. As a competence qualification it will need the support of an employer.
