ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP IN SUPPORTING TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SCHOOLS This qualification is made up of the following components:- • Level 3 Diploma for Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools Learners must achieve 44 credits in total from a combination of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover general aspects of school and classroom support, learners can then chose specific optional units that match their particular work role or school environment • Qualifications in English, Maths and ICT where there is no prior attainment • Employee Rights and Responsibilities • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills The qualification is suitable for those who have experience of supporting learning within the classroom and are actively involved with assessment of learning and those who have already achieved a Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification at level 2. Employment is required for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
