This qualification is designed for individuals employed in hospitality roles such as conference and banqueting assistant or waiters/waitresses who need to develop or consolidate their skills. You are required to take four mandatory units which cover aspects of maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, working effectively as part of a hospitality team, giving customers a positive impression and maintaining food safety in a hospitality environment. You then have a choice of a wide range of optional units covering different food service areas such as table service, allowing you to choose units to meet the needs of their own work role. In addition to the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food Service you will study employment rights and responsibilities.
