As an Apprentice you really do get the best of both worlds; you will earn a salary and gain real experience in the workplace with your employer and work towards a nationally recognised NVQ qualification. Apprenticeships are suitable for well-motivated people who are focussed and know which career path they want to follow. They offer high quality work-based training as an alternative to full time study. This programme is aimed at people who are employed, or are seeking employment. You will need to be 16 years of age or over. This combined knowledge and competency based qualification is ideal for new team leaders who want to develop themselves as leaders and manager. It provides learners with the opportunity to learn and implement the core skills needed in today's dynamic business environment. The qualification also forms part of the ILM Level 2 Apprenticeship in Team Leading. Employment, for a minimum of 30 hours per week, with training in the workplace Assessor visits in the workplace every 3-4 weeks Functional skills English maths and ICT Level 1 Employment Rights and Responsibilities There are five mandatory units, looking at the principles of team leaders, plus there is a wide selection of optional units to build management skills in a variety of areas.
