This course is designed to give you a broad range of cookery skills and research into the hospitality industry. The practical classes will include food preparation and food service. The theory lessons will cover the essential knowledge and will complement the required assignment work. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like a career in the catering and hospitality sector - food preparation and cooking, and food and drink service. You will study the following: * Health and Safety * Food Hygiene * Healthy Eating * Kitchen Operations * Costs and Menu Planning * Legislation in Food and Beverage Service * Menu Knowledge and Design * Service of Hot Beverages * Food and Beverage Service Skills All LMC students will receive tutorial support and take a programme of Functional Skills including English and maths.
