Students are introduced to the challenges and issues of starting a business and explore the key functions of business including financial, marketing, human resources and operations management. Students will use problem solving to make decisions on these functions and how they interlink with each other. Strategies for larger businesses are considered, and how these strategies may change, including leadership and management. Students consider the effects internal and external factors can have on organisations, and how a business can plan for and manage change effectively.
