Statistics AS Level

The first year is the AS level course which allows students the opportunity to become acquainted with the initial concepts in statistics. Students can develop these concepts further by continuing into the second year and achieving the full A level qualification. In statistics probability regression and correlation sampling hypothesis testing and a variety of distributions are studied. The use of information technology is integral to the course. All students will be issued with textbooks. Students are regularly assessed using examination standard questions and past examination papers. Students require a scientific calculator. You will be able to purchase one from the department for a very reasonable price. Hours of lessons per week 4.3 Indicative group size 18
