Name: History AS Level Qualification title: GCE AS Level in History A Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment There are two exams for AS one in January and one in May. This consists of two essay based questions and a source based examination. There is one exam for A2. This is a synoptic paper requiring essay writing skills and source evaluation. The final unit will consist of a coursework element which will be entered in year two before Christmas.
