Cake Decorating- Bride and Groom /Celebration Cake

A one day Saturday workshop open to both beginners and experienced students interested in creating their own model of a Bride & Groom using sugar. You will discover how to work with pastes to create realistic people along with dressing them for use on celebration cakes as a bride and groom or by changing their clothes any design you want and at the end of the day you will have your own figures to take home with you. A one day Saturday workshop open to both beginners and experienced students interested in creating their own model of a Bride & Groom using sugar. You will discover how to work with pastes to create realistic people along with dressing them for use on celebration cakes as a bride and groom or by changing their clothes any design you want samples will be on display.There will be a charge of 5 each student for pastes and other stock supplied for use during the workshops, this is payable to the tutor direct. Students will leave the workshop with a model of a bride and groom made using sugar as a medium. By the end the day, under tutor guidance, students will complete the day's tasks and have an understanding of using sugar along with its texture, form, colour and design. There will be tutor demonstrations, class discussions and individual hands on practice.

Entry requirements

If you do not have any tools, please don't let this prevent you from attending the workshop, as the tutor will have some equipment and materials available to use on the day for students to use A small sugarcraft 'shop' of equipment will also be available on the day, buying is optional! Any purchases are payable directly to the tutor on the day.Experienced students please bring all of your usually sugarcraft equipment with you including a polystyrene cake dummy 8' and 8' box to carry the models home in (no lid) and pastes.
