Intermediate Apprenticeship in Floristry

This training programme is mainly delivered and assessed in the workplace. There is also one day per week day release to Farnborough College of Technology. Subjects covered The programme covers a range of floristry skills and includes the following components: 1. NVQ Certificate in Floristry Level 2 - optional units to meet business needs Mandatory Units: Identify, check and monitor the quality of incoming cut materials Plan, prepare and construct funeral designs Plan, prepare and construct floral arrangements Plan, prepare and construct tied floristry designs Monitoring and maintaining health and safety Display stock to promote sales to customers in a retail environment Plus either of the following two units: Maintain and develop personal performance Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Optional Units plus other options: Preparing and transporting plants and resources Process customer orders for goods in a retail environment Package floral designs and plants Plan, prepare and construct wedding designs with floral materials 2. Technical Certificate: Certificate in Customer Service Level 2 3. Functional Skills: English & Maths Level 1 4. Employment Rights & Responsibilities Workbook 5. Personal Thinking & Learning Skills
