The course provides a higher level qualification for teaching assistants/learning support assistants. Level 3 recognises your additional skills and extra value and expertise you bring to classroom support. This course will support any future HLTA training as well as allowing progression to the Foundation Degree in Learning Support. By the end of the course you should be proficient in: 1 designing training and development sessions, 2 preparing and developing resources to support learning, 3 creating a climate conducive to learning, 4 facilitating individual learning through coaching and 5 evaluating and developing your own practice. Students will be expected to collect evidence from many different sources and present this in a portfolio form. In addition you are required to keep a personal development journal and to be observed on at least three occasions within your workplace. Regular attendance is required and assessment fee to be paid on enrolment.
