A chance to pick up the skills and knowledge to carry out a range of basic construction tasks such as painting and decorating, joinery and plastering. This course will give you the necessary skills to work on a construction site and be useful from day one. If you complete the course successfully, you'll leave the course with a CSCS card meaning you can work on a building site. Your course is shaped each year by the industry and local job opportunities to increase the chances of you finding work. You will be referred to this course through your Jobcentre Plus adviser. You can take this course and it won't affect your benefit status.
