English Lang/Lit AS If you enjoy reading and discussing literature but also have an interest in linguistic approaches to language, you will enjoy this course. You will gain a range of technical terminology, develop your skills in written analysis and study both written and spoken English. Students starting an English A-level from September, 2015 will be embarking on a linear A-level. This means that all exam units will be assessed at the end of two years and that there are no longer opportunities to re-sit units.
