English Literature AS If you enjoy reading and discussing literature, you will enjoy this course. You will gain an understanding of the nature of the different approaches that can be used in reading and analysis. It is essential that you are prepared to read independently. Students starting an English A-level from September 2015 will be embarking on a linear A-level. This means that all exam units will be assessed at the end of two years and that there are no longer opportunities to re-sit units.
