Performing Arts (Dance) Cert BTEC The BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma in Dance is a practical and vocational qualification designed for students with a passion for dance. If you have an interest and ability in Dance and would like to increase your performance skills in theatre practice, the BTEC National Diploma in Dance could be for you. UCAS points are equivalent of an A level and can be taken as a stand alone qualification, or combined with other A level courses. There’s a great focus on practical work with the opportunity for learners to perform dance pieces as well as choreograph and devise their own solo and group work. Practical work is assessed internally through practical projects and portfolio assignments. Students are expected to work independently to keep their individual working files updated and to include detailed information about their personal development in all areas.
