Our A-level History qualification has been designed to help students understand the significance of historical events, the role of individuals in history and the nature of change over time. This History qualification has been developed to recognise the scope and diversity of the subject – both in terms of content and different approaches: There is no core content, allowing as much freedom as possible to approach the subject in any chosen valid way. While the study of British History forms a substantial element, students will study the history of more than one country or state. Students will undertake a thematic study, covering an extended period of history of approximately 100 years. The coursework element will enable students to explore a topic in history they have an interest in.
