Foundation Learning Level 1 in Retail Knowledge

This course is designed to enable learners to develop knowledge and understanding of the retail sector. Students will gain experience in customer service, control and management of stock, health and safety, selling and handling payments. As part of the course students will conduct study visits to local retail centres, shopping centres and retail parks. The course is assessed through a variety of projects and assignments. Students will also take part in role plays and realistic workplace activities through running enterprise activities. The core of the course is at Level 1 but we also offer English and maths. The maths and English levels the students take depends upon the ability of the student and their prior attainment.
