Who is the programme for? Students over 16 wishing to specialise in graphic design and related areas. What is the programme structure? The programme is unit based, consisting of 18 units over the 2 years. In the second year students will undertake a Final Major Project. What does the programme include? Students will undertake a comprehensive programme covering all aspects of graphic design and related areas. These areas include: - Computer Studies - History of Art/Graphic Design/Photography - Advertising - Photography - Art - Type & letter form - There is as much emphasis on the art element of the course as on computer skills. - Students will have the experience of working on live briefs from industry, and entering competitions Are there any special facilities for the programme? There is a fully equipped photographic studio/darkroom, a multimedia suite, and specialist classrooms suitable for art and design activities What award will I achieve? BTEC Extendedl Diploma in Graphic Design. This is equivalent to 3 A Levels.
