This course is for students interested in Business and Law, who wish to know how the legal system works in civil, criminal and Business cases. The course has been designed and developed to give learners a qualification that will enable them to: * Develop their employability and professional skills * Focus on their own self development through personal study * Interact with legal executives and business professionals throughout the course of study The course is unit based and includes 8 Business units which are: 1. The Business Environment 2. Business Resources 3. Introduction to Marketing 4. Business Communication 15. Development Planning for a Career in Business 19. Developing Teams in Business 37. Understanding Business Ethics 38. Business and the Economic Environment There will be additional units studied on the course to explore the legal environment and framework and will include: 9. Aspects of Contract and Business law 10. Aspects of Civil Liability for Business 11. Aspects of the Legal System and Law-making process 12. Aspects of Criminal Law relating to Business Alongside the Business Law Diploma (2 A Level equivalent) students will study the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Law (1 A Level equivalent). This will consist of 6 mandatory units which are: 1. Dispute Solving in the Legal System 2. Understanding Law Making 3. Aspects of Legal Liability 4. Contract Law 5. Consumer Law 6. Aspects of Employment Law
