Over a five week course you will make sample pieces which you will take home and, along with hand outs and your own notes, you will be able to make soft furnishings to fit your own windows!This will be an enjoyable course giving an opportunity to learn a variety of techniques. You will learn how to measure a window, what to consider during planning and how to calculate how much fabric you would need; how to deal with patterned fabrics, also how to mitre a corner, how to calculate folds and the workings of a Roman blind; how to put a zip into a cushion or to make a button back cushion.This course is suitable for anyone who has an interest in soft furnishings or who would just like to have a go at something different. It is suitable for complete beginners as there will be an opportunity to work at your own pace and you will be guided step by step through your project.During each session you will be given instruction and observed as you work. You will be able to ask as many questions as you would like and you may take notes as you go. You will have an opportunity to watch demonstrations throughout the evening.
