This course allows students to complete the whole of the new 2015 syllabus GCE Chemistry A level in one year with the convenience of being delivered by mostly distance learning.Student support comprises:A 45 mins starter session with the course tutor after enrolment. A 2 hr group induction workshop in June 201612 laboratory based study workshops of two and a half hours duration. These will be in the evenings at six weekly intervals. The 12 study workshops will include all 12 compulsory experiments required for the new full A level qualification.3 two hour pre exam workshops just prior to the external examinations.In addition students can have up to 10 hours individual support via email, telephone, Skype or face to face.Learning will be mostly by student self study using a dedicated textbook and an extensive range of resources available through the college's Virtual Learning Environment (eBrock). It is therefore essential to have access to the internet.Students will have the flexibility of transferring to the A level year 1 course with a partial refund of fees in the Autumn term.
