Archaeology A2

UPDATED 20160226 13:22:03

Archaeology is a great choice if you're interested in both the arts and sciences. It takes in history, geography, sociology, art, religion, physics and chemistry - but the good news is, you don't need specialist knowledge in any of them beforehand. Also, no prior knowledge of archaeology is required as there is an assumption that most students will be new to the subject. You'll learn about what Archaeologists do and why, surveying techniques, ethical issues and how to interpret archaeological data such as assessing the significance of plant and animal remains. In the A Level, you'll produce a 4000 word personal study, during which you'll get lots of support. There is also a 2 hour exam.
